“T Expo” has announced the postponement of the international exhibitions “METEC – Construction machinery” and “DOMICATEC – Building & Renovating” which were due to take place at the exhibition center “Metropolitan Expo” from March 15^th till 18^th 2012.

“The reason is obvious” is stated in the announcement. “The country’s financial situation, which has been deteriorating despite all the harsh and ominous sacrifices of the Greek people during the past two years, as well as the lack of a promising prospect for the foreseeable future, after the new reductions in wages, the tax raise, the new reductions in the Public Investment Program and the further “freezing” of the private investments”.

“T Expo” calls for the understanding of the exhibitors that have already confirmed their participation in the exhibitions. “We are confident that they understand completely the reasons for this decision and the inconvenience that this call has caused”, is cited. “Nevertheless, as everyone is aware of, an international exhibition with the quality and the prestige of “T Expo” is planned and announced at least one year before. In fact, last year, the government used to ensure people for “returning to growth at early 2012 as opposed to the last three months of 2011.”

The new dates that these two exhibitions will take place, will be announced by the organizer company “when facts – and not statements – convince us that the country will have the chance to get back to growth”.
