Great interest for the parallel events of Metec 2009

The parallel events which were realized during the 5th international exhibition “Metec- Construction Machinery” organized by “T Expo” in the brand new exhibition center “Metropolitan Expo” from the 20th till the 23d of March 2009 had been followed by great success. 

The technical world had shown much interest in all the events while top executives of the greatest technical companies of the country were attending.

Notable foreigner and Greek speakers presented advanced technology solutions in the building branch based on their international experience. In parallel, academics from all over Greece as well as members of the business community analyzed the new opportunities that emerge for the development of their object in Greece.

The events’s topics covered important issues of the building branch (new machines and techniques for tunnels and subterranean constructions, new prototype EN 206 for concrete, modern quarries, an institutional frame for the asphalt material)

Extraordinary success for Metec 2009

On Monday the 23d of March the 5th International exhibition “Metec-Construction Machinery״ organized from “T EXPO” was completed with a great success.

The famous “most impressive exhibition in Greece” has this time surpassed its self. The exhibition organized in the new and European standard exhibition center in the airport of “Eleftherios Venizelos” covered a double space in comparison to the previous fairs, it has also attracted more than 20,000 visitors from all over Greece, Cyprus and abroad (an increase more than 10% relatively to the previous one).

More than 160 exhibitors presented-in 4 spacious halls and an outdoor space, of total 45,000 square meters – all the new models of the greatest branches of construction machinery in the world as well as plenty of new innovative solutions about the equipment of construction site and quarries. During the 4 days of the exhibition –under the economic crisis- orders were made of millions of euro.

A great interest was raised also for the parallel events which were realized during the exhibition having as issues important matters of the building branch (modern machines and techniques for tunneling, new European model for concrete EN 206, modern quarry, asphalt material, institutional context and new technologies) in which important Greek and foreign speakers participated while as top executives of the greatest technical companies of the country were attending.
